Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Playa del Carmen is located halfway down the Mayan Riviera, a strip of coastal beaches that runs for 140 kilometers, from Cancun to Felipe Carrillo Puerto. A former fishing village, Playa del Carmen rests on the mainland opposite the island of Cozumel.
